|
|
Hi,
I have an upcoming interview and one of the items I was asked to bring was the following : certificate of career(employment) -your present and
previous place.
What exactly are they requesting I bring? My guess is a copy of my teachers' certificate-this applies(?) to the certificate of career. But what
are they referring to with "your present and previous place" My resume?
Your take on what they are referring to would be greatly appreciated.
regards

| Wouldn't it be a good idea to contact the people conducting the interview and ask them to be sure? |

in Korea you can demand a record of employment from you boss. It tells people that you worked there and successfully completed your contract...sort of like a letter of reference.
I assume that is what they are talking about. |

Certificate of employment (chaejik junmyungso) provided by the employer.
a certificate of employment from your school.
(different from your contract)

I had to get that from my two previous employers in Korea. I didn't know what the heck it was at first, but they all understood.
Just tell your past employer you need it and put them in touch with the new place. Then make sure they all follow through. |

Yes, works well if you had an employer that was working with the Korean mofia. The last employer you worked for did not pay correctly and forgot severance. You had to beg through the labor board to get any of the money.
So, now you should go beg your employer for a certificate of employment. |
