Does anyone know what a Korean teacher starts at? What is the salary grid like(if there is one).
Seems they can ask me all kinds of personal questions, even looking at my pay stub and bank info....but when I ask about what they make....different story.
Anyone know how much they get paid? Seems to be a lot of jealousy going on, so I suspect that we are getting paid more than the average Korean teacher. |

| Been in the public system for over two years now. This is in Jeollanamdo, I dont know if its standard or different for each province. Teachers start at about 1.6-1.7 base salary per month-most highschool teachers do all kinds of extras before 9 and after 5. A teacher whos been teaching for ten years is somewhere in the range of 2.3-2.5 base. I have heard but not confrimed that principlas make somewhere in the range of 4-4.5 million a month. |
