is there any way to download service packs with english language support? has anyone ever had this problem?
they're both real games, not pirated.
EA sports FIFA and EA lord of the rings-return of the king.
anyone dealt with this problem? i mean i can play them just fine, i just can't get around the intricacies of the games in korean.
edit- fifa is just fine... has english. i don't know how to figure out LOTR though... |

Look for a file somewhere in the install directory called "Language.cfg", or the like. You can back it up, then try changing it to "English". Sometimes, they have a number code for the languages, and sometimes multiple languages aren't supported. In this case, you may be out of luck. Search the CDs the game is on for language files, or anything to do with laguages. Sometimes they are in the installer...look for some kind of "install.ini" or "setup.ini"...open these with notepad and check the languages. If they do support English, you may have to re-install the game with the said .ini file already in the directory (modified to reflect the correct language) as "read-only" so it's not over-written on the install.
You might also want to look for a patch, which can occasionally over-write the language files. This was the case with Splinter Cell 2 for me.
Check (or register and post) on the official forum for the game. Sometimes the devs read those boards and offer solutions. Why not fire an e-mail off to the company, requesting the correct language files (they will provide them with proof of legitimate ownership) or a way to remedy the problem.
Good luck.....hope it helps. |
