Would anyone be willing to comment as to what life may be like for a foreigner in Kangdong? shopping? eating? nearby attractions? Etc..
If any specifics on the area around Myeongil station that would be great...
How does Kangdong compare to other Seoul areas? I have searched a good bit online, but found very little information. The Kangdong English website isn't working!
Look forward to hearing back... |

Gangdong is ok. It's on the far south east part of seoul so it's a bit out of the way. There are two e-marts in the area and some department stores. Olympic park and Lotte world are close by. |

Shopping's good here. Restaurants are okay, depending on what you're looking for. There isn't much nightlife around here though. Not much of a foreigner presence either. In general, you're pretty much going to have to go to other parts of the city if you want to meet foreigners outside your school. I'm not saying don't live here. It's a very comfortable place, depending on what you're looking for, but living seems to be a bit quieter than in other parts of Seoul. |
