Has anyone seen inglorious bastards in theatres? Does it have English subtitles for the German and French parts?

Don't think it releases till October 29th. Don't know about the subtitles for French n German. Lucky I can speak German and French is mostly words about cheese and surrender.

I've never heard of any of the large national theatres having English subtitles. Maybe they will but unfortunately I haven't heard of it. It would be great for theatres to subtitle some of the Korean flicks in English from the get go, but I think the demand is propably not there. Some small alternative theatres do have english subtitles, but they won't have the big titles. There is an English subs theatre somewhere in Seoul and one in Daegu by the old train staton, Daegu Station.
I saw a Korean subtitled version and it was not worth it due to the limited English segments in the movie. There are some great moments in the film that seem to have great dialogue and building tension that you truly can't get emersed in without the translation.
Good flick, I will watch again.

Not sure how the movies are shown there but I saw this in the States and it is worth seeing.

Usually they will have the Korean subtitles added over the original english movie which includes the English subitles. District 9 still had the English subtitles for when the Aliens were speaking so I'm assuming it will be the same for Inglorious Basterds.

The theater in Myeongdong that is across from the Miglione department stores has Korean movies with English subtitles. Not sure what the cinema is called, but it's easy to find. I just found this out two weeks ago. Pretty exciting if you ask me.

That's the Myeong-dong Cinus Theater. They've been showing Korean movies with English subtitles for the last six months or so along with their sister cinema in Gangnam.

You can easily get a DVD Bootleg of the movie with english subtitles and eveything.

FYI - It's probably the worst Quentin Tarintino movie EVER! That [Mod Edit] is going down in flames for [Mod Edit] films since Kill Bill 2. Maybe Deathproof was worse, but at least the girls in that movie were H O T!!!

From memory (and I have not been to a cinema in Korea in years):

1. they put subtitles on the right side of teh screen. If the original Nth American theatre release version had subtitles, chances they will be included and you will be able to read most of it.
(Mind you, the plot does not turn on anything that was not in English).

2. I went to see Taegukgi in Busan in 2004. The theatre DID have English subtitles. I have no idea where that theatre is located or what is called - I went there with my ex while we were visiting her friend in that city.

Perhaps someone reading this knows about this place?

Btw, terrible movie (but that's just my opinion).

This is not related to the movie in any particular way, but there appears to be a trend where if you think you are on the good side, then brutality and violence towards your enemies is justified.

And I'm not even talking about the "the building is going to blow in 30 minutes so you'd better tell us where the bomb is or we will electrocute your *beep*" type of violence. Because that's quite acceptable in my opinion.

Here in the states there were subtitles for the french and german. I actually liked the movie, despite being a bit long it was quintessential Tarantino with lots of gratuitous violence mixed with long dialogue scenes. Brad Pitt was hilarious as well.

Buy it off a DVD stand guy or download/stream it online. Watch it 2 or 3 times so you kind of remember what they are talking about. English subtitles or not, I cant wait to watch it in theatres out here.

This movie is out in Korea now, yay! Has anyone been to see it yet? Can anyone confirm that the non-English parts have English subtitles?

Btw, I know some people have said that it probably does, and I agree, but I've seen several films over here which haven't, eg. Munich.

I'd be very appreciative if someone could let me know.
