This happens a fair bit in Japan, ie. using the foreigner for image promotion, etc...and I see the Japan expats talk about it a lot on Gaijinpot, but am curious to hear some Korean stories from expats.
2 years ago, I was involved in small promo video for a matchmaker company that I helped start.
At my first school, I had to do some of the requisite teaching poses in a classroom for promo flyers and whatnot.
And just now (which is what triggered the thought of the thread), my company just used my likeness for a faux conversation with a VP, on a commercial for their latest software.
I knew guys that frequented health clubs or restaurants, and had promo shots done. A black guy that was paid to have pictures of him milling about in a hip-hop clothing store. I'm curious to hear offbeat stuff like that.
I'm not talking about contract photography, but just that impromptu stuff that may have come up in your time here.
What's some of the different promo stuff that you may have found yourself in? |
