I want to go on a trip on the river ferry but can't find anywhere in English to book it, can I just show up and go? Can anyone recommend which kind of ferry trip to take?
Thanks |

The first thing that popped up when I googled "Hangang River Ferry" was this link. If you use the 1330 call center, you can probably get the information you want about booking your ticket.
I took one of those rides several years ago--I believe we just bought tickets at the ferry itself without pre-booking, but that could be incorrect or it could have changed.
Good luck. |

I took a Han River ferry a few years ago. I believe we left from the Jamsil area, sailed all the way to World Cup Park area, then back again. Honestly, it wasn't worth it. I was with guests from out of town and they were bored about 15 minutes in (it was maybe 2 hours total). I'm not ragging on Seoul, I love the place, but there is no skyline or really anything of interest that you pass. The only cool parts to me were going under the bridges because I happen to like bridges. Maybe there are other options, but the one we took wasn't like a booze cruise with music or anything. It was just a ferry with a snack bar and dirty bathrooms. There wasn't even anywhere outside to sit (just standing on the back with the fumes).
But yeah, maybe there are other options. I'd recommend renting bikes and riding along the path of the river for a better time. |
