Maybe I just can't remember my childhood that well, but do children universally like to play with balls so much or do balls and Korean children have some sort of pathological bond? 'Ball game!' 'Ball game!', the sing-song voices haunt me in my sleep. And then there are the children who think that 'ball' and 'game' are synonyms. What's more, it seems that the more pointless, unchallenging, repetative, and boring the ball game is the more the kids like it. Does anyone have any ideas for ball games with the slightest bit of pedagogical value?

With all this throwing out balls for rewards and handing out candies in the shape of dog bones I think I sould soon be qualified to run a dog training academy.

I believe all sprogs like balls. Either that, or you have male classes FULL of fudge-packers (as Willy Wonka once said)...

One of our story books contains the lines: 'Jimmy has balls. Jimmy has two balls. Jimmy's balls are blue. Jimmy has blue balls'.

Now, was that written by a naive Korean or a Westerner taking the piss?

The author of said book was probably just recounting his most recent experience on the infamous "Hill"...

One of the texts at my previous hagwan went further -- one lesson titled "Kevin has two balls" and the next lesson...Kevin tells his friends -

"Don't touch my balls."

Yes, our books were written by foreigners, specifically for our school.

One of the books I use contains these lines, or something very similar:

John has some new toys
He has some balls
They are blue

I think the book was written by a team of Koreans and Westerners.
