Insadong is the place to go for serious art supplies.

actually, there are quite a lot of good art supply stores around hongik university. i walk by tonnes of them every morning.

Yeah, Insadong is good. Also, there is a good art shop in the basement of the mall at the city air terminal...if I remember correctly.

I'm with sistersarah, along the street in Hongdae that the main gate is on there are tonnes of art shops. Walk either towards Stompers or Sinchon and they're on the same side of the road as the Uni gate.

There's also a bit store near the new(ish) OTwo club, in the same building as a sauna.

ALPHA is a chain stationary store. They have pretty much everything a professional or amature could want. Tons of them throughout Korea so you shouldnt have any problems finding one.
