| I was wondering if someone could tell me how hard it is to get a University job in Korea and also do you have to have a Master's degree in ESL or English. I have a Master's degree in German Literature with a minor in Foreign Language Education. Would this be enough to get a job at a Korean University? |

Yes, definately, but with no experience, I would imagine it would be difficult, but I know people who have done it. It wouldn't hurt to apply. After you get a few years of teaching experience, you'll be in a pretty decent spot. |

| at the uni i worked at in seoul they preferred teachers to have a masters -- in anything, but they hired several teachers with only a BA, several years experience and TESL certificates. the only catch was the BA teachers were required to teach more hours in the uni hogwan. the master-level teachers taught more for-credit classes and less hours. |
