I recently bought a copy of Windows XP in English, and noticed that my CPU runs cooler than it did in Win 98SE.

Just thought that would be interesting. I'm using the same program (asus probe) to check the temp. I average about 96 F at idle. Before it was a little over 100 F.

Join the world and use celcius.

4 degrees is neglegible in any system. Laughing

I could, but I'm from the best nation in the world, and I choose to use Farenheit at my own discretion.

"best nation" "use Farenheit (a.k.a. "fahrenheit")

I guess you use English at your own discretion as well?

On internet boards, when I'm typing fast, sure...

People generally don't give a damn, unless they're trying to be a know-it-all.

Everyone knows you're a know-it-all ass, Demophobe. Feel free to illustrate it.

Ok!

Other things I considered....

~ If it's so good, why are you here? ~

~ Apparently the education system needs some attention. ~

~ I Googled "best nation" and I should congratulate you on being the only person on at least the first 3 of 23,800,000 pages to use those words together in that way. ~

I may be a wise guy sometimes (my shame), but you are apparently humorless; unable to laugh, even at something so absurd as yourself sometimes. Come on Derrek....lighten up. Very Happy

Also, for "an award-winning writer", isn't it considered bad form to use the same word twice in a single sentence? Wink Also, I have to say.... "Everyone knows you're a know-it-all ass..." seems clumsy, no?

Did you use Fahrenheit because it actually gave you a measurable difference? Rankine, reaumur, celsius and kelvin give you less than 4 degrees of difference. F sounds more impressive - a whole 4 degrees of difference.

And, in defence of Demo, I can say that he does actually know all that needs to be known.

Actually, I should apologize to Derrek, to whom I do give an unneccessarily hard time. I really did just find it amusing, that's all.

Stay limber Derrek!

I wasn't under load; my system idle process was at 98%, informing me that I'm just using my cycles in a circular redundancy. Looking around instead of just up.

I sometimes wonder if I will ever learn.... Crying or Very sad

It's pretty clear God loves metric users more than foot/pound/gallon/Fahrenheit using Philistines. It's been proven conclusively.
