Every country has its share of them, but while I am here:

1) Working in a souvenir shop on Itaewons main boulevard and having to bargain with military personnel on a daily basis. More often than not these eager bargain hunters operate under the false belief that speaking in a louder more overt accent, will suddenly make the shopkeeper understand them. Even though it's a different language. They then make the same mistake 50 meters up the boulevard but never seem to learn from their mistakes....

2) Working in Itaewon police station.

3) Working in Omokygo Immigration and dealing with stupid questions on a daily basis, minus the shut down for lunch breaks.

4) Standing in the middle of an intersection and directing traffic, aka traffic cop. This situation is made worse with numbing pollution and notoriously dangerous drivers.

5) Cleaning toilets in the sky, aka an airline stewardess working on Korean Air or Asiana. Dealing with impatient Korean ajosshis - another class who have gained a notorious reputation.

6) Being 'stuck' with kindergarten children in a classroom for any period longer than 10 minutes. For once Lee Hyu Rie got that one right....

7) Any work in the DDD sector (especially factory work) and being barked at by an overlord.

Cool Being a junior working overtime in one of the fast food havens and never getting paid for it.

9) Driving a subway, esp. green line and moving in a greenish circle forever on the move.
and

10) Being a moderator at English spectrum Laughing

Being either a worker at a supermarket and having to scream about your food all evening long, or being one of those grey-suited sales agent at Lotte who have to stand there in silence all day long, 20 metres apart, in the event that a costumer comes along.

anything in itaewon especially those guys who are paid to get in the way and look like a badass gang.

but #1 - being a miniskirt dancer outside a place that's having a sale. i'd rather have full blown AIDS for a day.

How about the parking attendants out side of the department stores?
Some do have some nice moves though.

Yeah, working in a mini-skirt dancing and singing outside a shop would be numbing. I would relegate it to my number #11, but

those fat ajosshis dressed all in black with the belt pulled up two notches to tight may have it pretty good. The guys with a constant toothpick hanging from the right side of the mouth and a beer gut to boot.

Don't know what they do exactly? Apart from the transportation side of things between shops and being able to consume a never ending supply of drinks from the newly opened business. That could also be pretty 'hands on' in a sense. But I am sure it would also get really irritating.

Listening to the bitching and whining 'in between the shops' would be the big downside. The constant chatter on the handphones, the constant fight for the rearview mirror to apply the makeup and the constant use of the word 'oppa'.

I used to think 'the oppa' was sexy, but maybe you know when you are bored of Korean women in general; when you start to hate 'the oppa'.

Actually, come to think of it, thats my:

11) - "an ajosshi who deposits doumi"

12) Being the cameraman on Ariarang TV's 'Lets Speak Korean". To be more precise, being the cameraman who has to train his camera on Steve Revere and those dreadful pastel numbers he likes to flaunt on a nightly basis. Steve must have ownership in a fabric shop in Dongdaemun.

13) Being Lisa Kelly and having to sit next to Steve Revere.

14) Being Naomi (the Italian guest student who has made zero progress for the whole time she has been there) and having to listen to Steve and Lisa.

15) Being a moderator on this forum and having to read the above three Rolling Eyes Then wear a mod. badge in the avatar column as though it is some sort of achievement....

what's with dumping on the mods? This place would be a nightmare without some kind of control.

I'd add another vote for toll both operator- the pollution and mind-numbingly mundality of that job would drive me crazy

Not dumping on them. They put their time in. I'd like to think some of them see it as a service of some sort... kind of like a priest without the pay?
