I'm doing a favour for a person I know and just installed the code for a counter called Statcounter, from statcounter.com. It's supposed to check the number of people who visit, where they come from and whatnot. I then went around the room and used a few computers to look at the site, and when I checked the stats it showed four counts, all from Korea, exactly what I expected. That's fine. But then afterwards it hasn't gotten up past five, even though I've been waiting an hour and going back on the page with a number of different computers.
So...I have two favours to ask. One, could somebody open up a browser window to www.eze365.com and then let me know? If I can confirm that somebody's looked at the site and yet hasn't registered a hit, then I know something's wrong.

Also, the code is below...perhaps there's something wrong with it? This is the exact code they gave me, which makes the counter invisible (which it is) and just sends info on the number of hits to the owner of the web page.

Anybody used Statcounter before?

<!-- Start of StatCounter Code -->
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
var sc_project=542625;
var sc_partition=3;
</script>

<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="http://www.statcounter.com/counter/counter.js"></script><noscript><a href="http://www.statcounter.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://c4.statcounter.com/counter.php?sc_project=542625&amp;amp;java=0" alt="php hit counter" border="0"></a> </noscript>
<!-- End of StatCounter Code -->

Oh...I just figured out the problem. The guy seems to have resaved the page without the code. Embarassed

Anyway, what's your favourite counter?

Thanks! It works like a charm now.

It even knows where you're coming from...

BTW, I never knew page counters knew that much. I can check people's OS, IP address, monitor resolution, time visiting the site, pretty much everything except personal information like names and email. It even shows what country it's being accessed from.

That reminds me, a friend of mine has a site called www.prettynim.com with a lot of travel information. I checked her counter and she gets 1800 hits a day. I then checked the country stats and some 80% from the past month were from S. Korea, the second most from the States, and then some other countries. But...it turns out that she gets an average of 65 hits or so a month from North Korea.

I hope I can go there this year...
