I guess it would depend on what you wanted, but for foodstuffs..the answer is yes. You can get a lot of western spices, sauces, and other things to make like better while in Korea. You can also pick up some interesting booze.

Go to Oliver's in the Princess building, or to the Great supermarket in Pacific Centre...or Citysuper at Times Square...you should find differnt sauces and mixes that you can bring back to spice up your cooking.

Other than that...the answer is no...only shop for electronics in HK if you know what you are doing and never shop on Nathan Road...unless you are an expert shopper and know everything about the product you want to buy....

Stanley Market, Stanley Market, Stanley Market!!! LOL.. I love that place. You can pick some t-shirts up very cheap and other stuff too.

You must buy chocolate from Hong Kong if you like chocolate.. they have cadbury's and some other really yummy ones.. my sister is sending me some over as we speak..uh.. type!

Actually, the best place to buy electronic goods is a street called Ap Liu Gai. It's pretty amazing there. A bit like Chunggyechon in Seoul..

If you like Asian films, then Hong Kong is the place to shop. You can pick up some legit gems on DVD for as low as 15HK$.

I don't have the address, but I went to this guy's shop where he made weapons for kung fu films. Scored some nice knives from the guy. Really wanted to buy a sword or two but it would've been too much of a hassle trying to get it out of HK.

I did notice that after Christmas sales on clothing brought most items significantly lower than anything in Korea (on sale and DEFINITELY things not on sale). I got some great stuff at the Japanese department store in Causeway Bay (Sogo?). Food is a great find too...lots of stuff that is impossible to find here...
