Uh, I hate them. I never know what to write. What kind of employer wants a cover letter? (I am applying to public schools primarily, and some require cover letters) Mad

Been to a few sites... still don't know what I'm doing...

From years of doing IT contracts to going into the ESL business, I have written so many cover letters, it's almost automatic. This is the basic formate I use.

Hello (Name),

I am a (Occupation Title) with (x Years) experience in (three major skills). (Mention of some high points in your career and education). My skills include the following:

- List of skills

I am looking for a challenging job (talk about what you're looking for).

Thank you,

If you can get a hold of Resume Maker, it has templates for resumes, cover letters, and more. I'm sure you'll be able to find it on your favorite p2p network.
