OK, I have a burner now. I have a bunch of downloaded .iso image files for xbox games. Before I waste DVD-R disks, is it right: all I have to do is burn the .iso image? Or do I have to make .xiso files? |

I don't know if this will help but as far as burning Ps2 games goes, yes all I do is burn the iso image and it works fine. With Xbox games, hey it could be different but anyway, good luck....... |

Yep.. most of the time just burn the iso. Always try to read the little text message that comes with it though just in case there are any special instructions. Errr.... oh yeah, Alcohol 120% generally copies more reliably for me than Nero. Dunno why!
Hope that helps |

You should take an interest to find out if you are into ripped games.
The new Starforce protection is as of yet unbeatable*, with image mounts, MDS files or any other form of emulation. It was written by Russian ex-hackers and is really the deal....very secure.
Colin McRae 2005 and Toca racing use it. They are unusable in the copied form.
* This is actually not totally true....Alcohol 120% emulation will work, but only if you get in the machine and disconnect the CD-ROM drives first....that or if both IDE CD-ROMs are on the secondary IDE cable, then you may be able to disable the secondary cable through the BIOS. Both methods however are totally hit and miss...niether has yet been consistently successful.
Or, you could just call Ultima......
If you have a v1.0-v1.5 X Box you can flash on a new bios so it's like having a mod chip w/o buying one. But you can only do that if you don't use X Box live, because if you go on Live with a modded bios you will be banned. |

I heard Xbox is up to 1.6 now. Should I buy 1.5 or lower or will these burned games work with any version? |
