Does anyone know any current news on this school? I found a thread dated from January, which had mostly positive comments, but I've recently received an email from an applicant who informed all the other applicants of some problems. They were:

1) There are no clear guidelines on what should be taught, and whatever is proposed by the foreign staff is rejected or conveniently ignored.

2) Problems experienced by the foreigners were never addressed regarding housing, academic matters etc.

3) The Supervisor,a Korean professor, is a strong authoritarian, who ignores all foreign staff problems, and enforces all rulings, which foreigners might not agree to, through the co-coordinator.

4) Classes are usually canceled without notice, and you are expected to make up for those classes, even if you are not responsible for cancellations.

5) Special events (which might require students to interrupt their normal classes) will have to be made up with extra classes being taught outside your regular schedule.

6) Fourth year students, have total authority over the First and Second year students, which has led to many conflicts arising from students being confused between foreign professors and 4th years instructions. The 4th years always win, undermining the foreign professors authority.

7) There is no privacy to your room, as the university have spare keys to all foreign professors rooms, and enter rooms without prior agreement or permission.

Cool The contract makes it clear that in all matters, the final word of the university is the ruling decision (thus leaving the foreign teacher open to abuse and exploitation) bias.

If any of you can back these up, please let me know. Thanks.
