Medical service hotline available during holiday
Dialing 1339 will connect callers to operators who can guide them to the nearest open hospital or drugstore. Though all hospital emergency rooms will be open during the holiday, many small clinics will be closed. The hotline can provide English translation if necessary. More than 420 hospitals will be on 24-hour standby, and 20 percent of pharmacies will be open, the ministry said. A list of those hospitals and pharmacies can also be found at www.nemc.go.kr.
