I have been following a couple of threads that have now been locked due to bad behavior. The threads were interesting, and were unfortunately closed prematurely, and understandably. I think that it would be a good idea to not engage certain posters who exhibit general unfocused rage. I have thought of this before, but the last couple of days one particular participant has crossed a line. To me, s/he just won't exist. Such posts will be empty space between the civil ones.

actually, that poster should have been banned and the threads left open.

Amen to that.

We often disagree here, but he was so out of line. I still say that we should try to identify and ignore such posters before they drag us in. But I know it is so hard to do, and I posted my fair share of replies to him- they were sometimes sarcastic, but always civil.

Bucheon Bum-

"Yeah, i got sucked in tonight. or is it me that you are refering to?"

Nah, I think we all were getting a little more than a little annoyed with him, and I was posting my own response when the locks went up.

I think we should leave him on the board. With other controversial figures gone, he is pretty much only antagonist left on this board. And let's face it; the thread wouldn't have been half as much interesting without this guy. We could have come up with more convincing arguments to counter his, though.

He is a troll.

Trolls suck.

He posted absoulutely nothing productive.

Why keep a guy around like that?

If that's your idea of "interesting" I'm beginning to wonder about you Trinny Wink

A shame JH has gone silent. I wonder if she left because she was fed up with us or just too busy or what. While I didn't agree with her most of the time, she did a pretty good job at giving an "alternative" view to things w/out whipping out insults and other forms of trash.

Matko,

You are spot on. I am cut out for Beckerson's.

JH,

She is a Korean gal with perfect English. Although she is THE great defender of the Korean education system, I suspect that she was actually educated in an English speaking country, otherwise you would't have that level of English.

Her logic didn't seem to make sense from time to time, but she put up a bloody good fight against a lot of posters. A word of warning to you guys: Beckerson will come back to haunt you if you say you miss JH.
