I have had trouble like that before as well! But...............I was recently in Kenya, at a bank. Everyone was lined up to withdraw money.........there was a light that turned GREEN or RED and it was really hard to tell what color it was. When it was Green you could withdraw money. If it was RED, you could not. One German guy went up to use the machine, the light turned from GREEN to RED and it just took his card! We waited for over an hour and the machine was jammed. Korean is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Just save that money but demand that they give you the charge for it. How far can you go with 10,000 won??? |

After a certain time, you cannot take money out. The machines are not 24 hour machines. |

I had this happen at an international ATM in a subway station in January...Everything was going great, the machine accepted my card, said it was going to give me 100,000, and then the little cash door failed to open...At a loss as to what to do, I screamed at the camera for about 5 minutes...
I tried to call the bank with no seeming success at communicating my loss- even with the aid of a Korean friend. About 3 weeks later, the 100,000 was quietly returned to my American account.... |

dude, don't you know about the international fees that banks charge? if you are taking money out of an account back home you should take out more than 10$. after everyone charges you, it can be up to 10$ all around in fees. |

Korean cash machines that claim they accept visa cards but don't. Really annoying. |
