| I cannot find a place to buy shoelaces. Department store, no, popular shoe stores (eg. K-Swiss), no. Any ideas? I need black shoelaces. |

i'm suprised you can't find them in department stores. i went to the athletic shoe department and they had a few to select from.
if you have the korean shoe / golfwear store called Kumgang...that's where i get mine. they have a bigger selection. |

Hmmm...I've tried the two Lotte Marts and the E-Mart here in Cheonan. I was in Seoul today and there was nothing to be found at the Lotte Mart by Seoul Station or anywhere that I could find at the Coex mall.
EDIT: Guess I could try walking around Ssangyong Daero.
It's also unfortunate that I can't say properly. Clerks have looked at me quite strangely before saying "Ah..." succeeded with a negative response.

i think you need to get to a major department store, not a 'mart'. e-mart is pretty useless, too.
try to find a Kumgang store. |

| Those little boxes on the side of the street with a guy doing shoe repair and key copying usually also have shoelaces for sale. Also, in case you don't know the Korean word for shoelaces is β. |

Yes, I'm quite aware of what shoelaces are in Korean. As mentioned in a previous post by myself, I stated I have a devil of a time saying .
The shoe repair guy is an idea, though I haven't seen any of them in Cheonan. |

I remember seeing one near the railway station - next to the taxi rank. |

| Given the Koreans tendancy to jump off buildings and bridges, it does not surprise me that they stopped selling shoe laces. |

| Haven't been to the railroad station, just the bus terminal and the KTX. Don't know which buses go there that I'm near. Maybe the 1. |

There's one for sure in front of the florist's, next to the Buy the Way, outside Hoseo U's front gate. (How Korean an address is that?)
I think there's one under the overpass in front of Chungmu Byeongwon (near E-Mart).
There are sure to be some shops in old downtown--near the train station--that carry laces. |

| Mog, actually, better still, go to an apartment complex or a supermarket. There is always a shoe repairer outside!! |

RIGHT IN FRONT.
You can't miss it. The guy rides a 2000 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500cc (or is it a 1300cc?).
There is also one by Galleria, one by Le Ciel, and one or two in Ssangyong-dong.
