Do you have it set to "lockdown" or tight security? For initial use, put it in learning mode for about the first week or so.
It is unclear whether you are talking about your internet connection in general which isn't working or whether you are talking about your web browser like IE or Firefox. If it is the connection, I'm not sure what you should do since it has been a while since I used that program. However, if it is the browser, you should go to the internet programs section of the settings and make sure that it is enabled for third party cookies as many sites won't work without this enabled... actually, just enable everything for your primary browser, just make sure that you aren't using IE if you are going to do this though. If you want to know why I say this, do a search on this site or on google with the keyword "firefox". |

I am using IE. What happens is that if I want to, for example, connect to Daves and I have the firewall up, I cant. I get a DNS eror or it says that the page cant be opened. If I disable the firewall and connect to Daves, then put the wall back up, I can navigate around the site without a problem. BUT if I then try to go to another site, I cant. And so on. |

Do as I said and enable 3rd party cookies and the rest for your browser, however, note that IE is a crap browser that is too closely linked to your OS and full of security problems. This would be a good time to make the switch to Firefox or Mozilla.
Anyways, it was this reason and the fact that ZA doesn't stealth a couple of ports which resulted in my change to a different firewall. Seriously, if what I suggested doesn't work, you're just gonna have to click certain options in your settings on and off until you get everything working.
Also, here's another idea, visit the support forums for your ZA product. They would know ten times better how to deal with this problem than anyone on this board. You can find that through google. |
