Okay, I have a little time. This is about the mid-level Korean class on Sunday. I had about five or six people interested in the class and I wasn't sure about the size of the room; we rented a six-person room and I didn't want it to be too confined so I told one person who was thinking about coming to come to the class next week instead. We got to Minto, I met the teacher, and finally one person came. Two people who said they would come didn't show up so it was me, the teacher, and the one guy who came. After the lesson was over we paid the bill and it turns out that it is 4000 each, but for a table of six they assume six people, so it came to 24000. I paid some so that we could break even and decided we'd better go about this in a bit more formal way.

It was no problem that the two people who didn't show up didn't come, because I had originally planned it to be a kind of casual drop-in sort of thing, but now I thinking we should have a sign-up sheet so that's what I'm going to do. There's a blog of mine that I made just for this and it's located at http://www.livejournal.com/users/mithradates/. The article for next week is there, and there's a section below for comments, which is what we'll use to sign up. If you're certain that you can make it then write a comment in there, write your name and phone number if you feel comfortable with that, and if not then just say something like "I'll be there. JP" and then pm me to let me know that it's you you're talking about.

Since the room is 24000, we'll need at least three people so if only two people sign up then we'll cancel for the week. I'm thinking Friday night is a good deadline, people should know their weekend pretty well by then so if on Saturday morning there is a lack of people I'll phone Minto and call off the reservation.

As far as the class itself, the articles were good and I think they were just about at the right level. With a few more people we might get some good discussion going so we'll see. Last Sunday was a test run, and next Sunday I'll be there again since only one person showed up, and not only should I be there to introduce the teacher and make sure everything's going smoothly, but I'm also curious to meet you all.

All right, it's Saturday now and there has been no response so I suppose there's no class. Perhaps we're all too busy...anyone who has seen my 'knackered' post knows what kind of state I'm in too. Wink
