Dunno if anyone in expat-land pays much attention to foreign policy issues, but this NY Times piece on China's attitude toward NK is quite interesting. However, my betting money is that China's overriding interest is annexing NK eventually - hence the "Goguryeo was a Chinese culture" nonsense. (The North appears to recognize this better than the South - they have thrown a MUCH bigger fit than SK has over the Chinese claim on Goguryeo.)

This article, however, is strictly on current foreign policy concerns. Sounds like US will NOT be able to make the Chinese "honest broker" on NK.
