|

Hey
Does anyone know if it's possible to lease a computer here? I'm only in Korea for four months, and didn't want to haul my laptop across the world for that length of time. I also don't want the expense of buying a new computer... I'm looking for something that does word processing and will surf the Internet easily. Oh yes, and will download tv shows via bit torrent.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Megan |

you don't want to "haul" your laptop across the world? How big is the damn thing??? I don't think I've ever heard of someone "hauling" their laptop. Desktop maybe, but never a laptop.
I've never heard of it, because PC Bangs are so common around here. Of course, that won't help with your downloading TV shows. But hey, if you're only here for 4 months, you can just wait til you get home for that, right?
Bring your laptop, it'll be much easier.

I can't answer your question, but you should give this some serious thought-
why on earth wouldn't you bring your laptop? That's what they're made for- hauling around.
Let's assume that you can lease a computer in Korea without too much difficulty;
As your laptop sits at home in pristine condition (paid for already, I assume) you then decide to spend more money on leasing a computer?
What about all your data? Your settings? Your software?
As the months go by your laptop sits at home, losing value, marching towards obsolescence... you bought it, why wouldn't you want to use it now? |
