Hey all, I wanted to find a Korean Language Tutor. I have decided to drop my course for a while. But I still want to keep up and join up again later when I have mentally caught up with the class. Anyways,
Where would be a good place to post. I live in Kangnam area so I was thinking the universities would be a good place. I browsed the Seoul National UNiv websites and cant find any link to a contact.
Any ideas? Used to be able to use ENg Spectrum but not anymore....
Thanks |

I'm sure they'd be a notice board at the university you can advertise for a Korean tutor. If you lucky you'll get a student that will do it for free if you help them with their English.
Works well for me. |

Are you looking for an 'Korean tutor' to teach you Korean, or to teach you about something else... LOL. |

Welll I want a Korean language tutor. I dont have the time to dedicate to the massive amounts of grammar we learn. I want to step back and catch up with my vocabulary. My vocab is terrible because after the 2 hrs of class and hour of homework(grammar) I dont have time to sit down and rewrite the vocabulary, and study them.
Any additional gratis teachings from a tutor will be welcomed, as long as it doesnt cost me too much.
Problem I find with language exchange is they make it too easy to cheat. I mean to let me speak English. I can fumble through the Koren but they got to force me or Ill just listen to what they say and translate it, and answer in english. To be honest maybe a teacher with terrible English is what I need.
How would I post at a University... Just go wondering around? |

Try posting something on www.worknplay.co.kr, ask one of your co workers if they've got a friend who might be interested, contact the nearest YMCA ( they often offer cheap korean lessons). The Korea Herald has a page of people looking for language exchanges, the Seoul Classifieds also had lots of ads for this kind of thing.
If you're looking for a serious tutor, try to find out where the Korean language department of the school is and post ads there. They'll probably have a better grasp of how the language works than the average student. |
