| I have an annoying "mywebsearch" toolbar I don't need but no idea how it got there or how to get rid of it. Any suggestions? |

you've either been somewhere nasty or downloaded something nasty...
read up on browser hijacks, malware and spyware |

It's a bit more involved than that. It's a form of a hijack, mixed with spyware/adware/malware kind of thing. |
