Hi all:
I was wondering how many of you who have taught or are teaching in Korea have also taught in Japan.
I've taught ESL in Japan for a year, and was thinking about going back, but then I got interested in going to Korea. The main reason is that it seems you can save more money there.
In reading the posts on this board, I have come to view Korea as "like Japan with a twist", more or less. Yes, it's an oversimplification, and I know it would be insulting to Koreans and Japanese alike if they heard that.
However, to those of you who have experience in both countries, can you offer up some comparisons? What can someone whose only experience in Asia is Japan expect?
Thanks for any feedback you have. |
