If anyone has installation discs and would be willing to hook a brother up, please send me a PM.

I just picked up a mac box with OS 9.2.2 installed. I tried downloading and burning OS X 10.3 (panther) but OS 9 doesn't recognize .dmg files.

Has anyone seen bootlegged copies in yongsan?

No need for a PM. These fine people can hook you up.

Thanks Hank. But like I said before:

The link you gave me will get you:

Mac OS X Panther Final Install Disc 1.dmg
Mac OS X Panther Final Install Disc 2.dmg
Mac OS X Panther Final Install Disc 3.dmg

(which I've already downloaded and burned).

or tiger.dmg -- anyone know if these preview releases are stable?

Meanwhile, I found this utility today that's supposed to extract .dmg files on OS 9:

http://www.mythcinema.com/DiskCopy65b11.sit

I'll try it tonight when I get back to the iRanch. If that doesn't work, I'll be iContacting those of you who sent me an iPM.

I have an iPC too if that's what you mean. That's what I used to make the installation disks. DiskCopy65b11.sit didn't work but I found a great little utility called dmg2iso that, as you might expect from its name, converts .dmg (mac) disk images to .iso (PC). It's command line but easy enough for the command line impaired, e.g., c:\filepath\dmg2iso.exe filename.dmg filename.iso

This utility would be helpful to anyone wanting to emulate OS X on a PC with PearPC.
