There's a pet store at Sunae station that sometimes has cats. No kittens, though. It's on the McD's side, pretty close to Bagel Street Cafe.

Cats live for years. Before you get a cat, please, please, figure out how you'll import your animal when you move home at contract end and don't leave the paper work until the last minute, forcing you to kill your pet.

also, please take a look at this thread about buying a cat in a petstore in Seoul. (I'm really not as arrogant as I come across in that thread though, honest. Wink )

I would be more than happy to support an animal shelter rather than a pet store...Two vets I talked to did not know of any that had cats. Is there a shelter in Seoul?

There's one north of Seoul. Their Web address is www.karama.or.kr. One of their board members lived in Bundang, the last I heard. I'll try to get in touch with her soon and ask if she can help with these matters. Remind me, OK?

Another good group to support is Arumpoom, www.withanimal.net. I believe they have a network of foster homes mostly in the Seoul area. I'll try to find out more, but please remind me.
