I have no plan to work there, but i've always been curious if immigration has an office on Jeju, and do they haul people in for illegal work?
Or do immigration officers make a "working holiday" and go there to bust illegal teachers?
Where do you guys go to get your E-2s handled? |

Yes, there is an immigration office here, about 2 blocks from my apartment. Yes, they do bust people here. The city is very small so everyone knows everyone (not really, but close). You can't really hide anything down here, so you have to be very above-board.

| Yes, everyone really does know everyone! It got to the point where if I got in a taxi, the taxi driver would list my most common destinations and ask which one I was going to!!! Quite a few knew exactly where I lived, they knew which vet I preferred, they all always took me to the same hospital as the first guy (it was like they passed word around to each other) ......was a little creepy at times. If I had every tried to do privates, I think that everyone from the clerks at Korea Mart, to the couple who owned the nearby Family Mart, to the vet (not to mention my bosses) would have known about it before the first private even took place. |
