|
|
The Korean .mp3 input software that I have to download for my LG .mp3 handphone drives my AVAST! virus software nuts.
It has at least two trojans in it! Can't use the software without the trojans.
I can load mp3 files on to the SD-mini card using a card reader, but I can't accesss the 70megs of internal memory. I'm going to attempt to install it at my school. Of course it's all in Korean, too.
I can't figure out what's going on, but LG seems to want to "know" about what I put into the phone, so the program apparently runs it through a website as a requirement. And it uses your phone number as the password!
Not very safe, obviously... so much for anonymous user stats!
That really ticks me off, because the reason I got the LG with USB in the first place was because I didn't want to go through all of the "JUNE" crap on Samsung phones, etc. I want to freely upload and download into my phone as I please.
When plugged-in, the phone registers as a modem, not a HD, so I can't just dump files in via "my computer."
I will run this by my students, as they might know what's up and know a work-around.
I also can't seem to make my songs act as a "ring," which really ticks me off at this point. Otherwise, the phone is pretty fun. I got it for practicing my Korean, so the little 32meg mini-SD is good enough for that. |

Seems to be a big business in Korea to find out marketing information about users. I had similar problems when installing drivers for my wlan, the KTF drivers were full of nasties and it completely screwed up my computer to the stage where I had to reformat!
Korea is a hub of viruses.
Avast rocks in finding the little nasties doesn't it? |

Trojans or spyware? To be picky, a trojan is a virus that masks itself as a useful piece of software or a naked picture of a russian tennis star. Spyware, of course, just installs itself without your knowledge and transmits information about you. |

I don't think they make a smaller Asian export version. |
