Every week, I buzz my head with the closest guard. So my hair remains very, very short. It's not a buzz-cut. I have black hair, so it ends up just looking like I'm bald with a shadow on my head.
I was told by a friend living on a U.S. military base in Seoul that many of his fellow soldiers have started growing their hair long so as not to be perceived as soldiers when in public. He told me that before I move to Daejeon, I should grow my hair out or else I will be confronted with hostility.
But I really do not wish to grow my hair. I'm very happy with it being short.
How accurate was my friend's advice? Will I be mistaken as a US soldier? |

| I doubt it. Daejeon people don't really associate foreigners with the army... but couldn't you grow an inch of hair? |

That's good news. With 1 inch of hair I'd have a mega porcupine look going.  |

| sounds like that haircut wouldn't be confused with military styles. if you haven't had any trouble up until now, then you'll be fine. |
