Could anyone help me find some FAQs or threads about starting a band/jamming?

I just got to Seoul and I'm interested in playing music with people. I prefer independent rock but I'm open to anything. I only have an acoustic guitar right now but I'm looking to start a full band.

I need to know:

1) Where are some jam spaces (I live near MokDong)
2) Is there an 'independent' scene here?
3) What are some great places to check out live music (punk/rock/jazz etc)?

Thanks so much!

There are quite a few places just across the river from you in Hongdae as well as rehearsal places. Check out 'jammers' and there are quite a few in more Hongdae.

Itaewon also has at least three places with regular live music. Big electric cat, J Bar and Woodstock.

Compared to many cities Seoul isn't great for live music but it is out there.
