Don't get your panties in an uproar- just an air raid drill....
Remember there is only an armistice in place, not a peace treaty

Stop tryingnto get people killed. If its just a siren why is it so loud and why do I see squadrons of jets flying overhead? And choppers?

HUH! What is it good for?

Oh, wait.

So these jets and choppers, they're elsewhere? We had a bunch of fighter jets buzz over Yeosu (!) on Friday, and Sunday there were several mil helicopters. What the hell is up?

Damn WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRR!!!! made me 10 minutes late for supervising exams. Always a good excuse though. An air raid drill is an air raid drill, and if those ajummas in the yellow hats and jackets tell traffic it has to stop, it HAS to stop.

Who the hell ARE those ajummas, anyways? Some kind of volunteer force that all have uniforms and whistles and a list of phone numbers to call when there's a drill? If I get my F-5 can I sign up?

I'm just making a post here because Jinju got upset that I posted a previous thread about air raids.

I know this has been mentioned before on here.

I read this on a global security website several months ago, I believe the U.S. forces wrote.

On the 15th of every month, the ROK conducts an air raid drill at 14:00 hours. There is a regulation that states that everyone must go indoors until the all clear signal has been given around 14:15 to 14:20 which is a short air raid siren after the fighter jets fly around at a very high rate of speed piercing the sky. This monthly military preparedness drill not only trains the ROK forces, but reminds everyone that the dorky Norks do in fact still present a threat to way of life and economic livelihood (fear propaganda) though it's very highly unlikely they would do the unthinkable. It only requires the common knowledge that the U.S. forces will have them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if they shoot a missile so I don't think we have anything to worry about.

If the 15th falls on a weekend day, then the drill is scheduled for the nearest weekday. For example, if the 15th is on a Saturday, then the drill is on Friday the 14th and if the 15th falls on a Sunday, then the drill is on Monday the 16th.

No the Norks are not pulling a fast one on us.
