Wake up at nine, start doing things on the computer - answering Cyworld people, taking care of my board, writing things, etc.
11:30 - go to work
8:40 - finish work, run home, do things on the computer
That's during the week...
Weekend is usually:
9:00 - wake up
11:30 - go to Gangnam, bring books. Study or read something in coffee shop. Reading Beowulf now. 3:00 or 4:00 - meet friend. Go to DVD Bang. Go to bar or somewhere afterward. After that it's undecided... |

Okay, excuse my ignorance (and I'm not directing this question specifically to mithridates), but when people say the above statement, does it usually imply an amorous rendezvous, or just the literal act of renting/watching DVDs??? |

It could be either one...I love movies so I pick a good one and concentrate on that, maybe cuddle or whatever but if the movie's good then nothing happens until it's over.
If the movie gets boring then you can always wrestle or do whatever. |

I'm surprised at how regular my routine is from Monday to Friday. At least three days a week, and often four days, I have these habits:
Wake up: 7:00-7:30 I'm a morning person, so, earlier in the summer.
(followed by 30 to 60 min. to lounge, make breakfast, go for a stroll, etc)
Write: 8:00-10:00
(followed by two hours of Internet or chores, or shopping or walk to the beach)
(followed by one hour to putter around before going to work)
Leave for work: 1:00
Clean-up/prep/lunch at hagwon : 1:15-3:00
Teach: 3:00-9:00
(followed by one hour to go for dinner or shopping or putter some more)
Relax: 10:00 by going out with friends or reading a book or checking email or watching a movie)
Go to bed: 11:00 or 11:30 Earlier in the summer.
Now that I've written it down I have a strong impulse to change it! |

Get woken up by baby at around 5.30/6.00, feed her, promptly go back to sleep with her.
Get woken up by baby at around 8. Feed her, change her nappy, play with her for about an hour, put her back to bed and get up, shower etc.
Have breakfast, do laundry, do dishes, feed cat, come to the computer.
Baby wakes up. Feed her, change her nappy, play with her, show her to my sister on webcam.
Put baby down for a nap. Hang out laundry, chat with my sister. Have lunch if I have time.
Baby wakes up. Feed her if she is hungry. Play with her for up to 2 hours. Change her nappy.
Put baby down for another nap (hopefully a longer nap this time). Collect laundry from roof garden, hopefully dry by now. Respond to a few emails. Come to Dave's for a bit more. Play some computer games. May be have some tea (that's a sandwich and a cuppa.. not just a cup of tea).
Baby wakes up again, should be around 7pm. Play with her, change her nappy etc. 8pm. Bath time for baby. A gentle, quick massage for baby. Turn the heater fan on in the bathroom to warm it up 10 mins prior to her bath. Collect everything she needs for her bath. Play with her en route to the bathroom. Give her a bath.
Dress her in bedroom, put lotion etc on. Last feed before she goes to sleep for the night at around 9pm. She is out by 9.15. I get up, change into my pjs, wash etc and go to bed!!! |

Get up around 11am
Grind coffee. Make espresso. Internet (mostly Dave's) for an hour.
Shower and shave.
Play with dog (minature Schaunzer). Clean up his pooh and pee (god-damn pup doesn't want to go where he should).
Go to work around 2pm. My hours have changed so I'm only doing 2 hours teaching each day for awhile.
Leave work around 5:30 and attend my "extra-curricular" class
Go home around 8pm. Surf internet. Watch British comedy I've downloaded on 'puter (Rising Damp, Porridge, got, '24 Hour Party People' recently about the rise of Factory Records. Steve Coogan as Tony Wilson. Excellent movie.)
Play with dog and wife-to-be.......Not at the same time!
Maybe dinner at restaurant with buddies. A new place has opened around the corner from me in Daechi-dong which does full-size Daegi-galbi. It's like being in a Texan steakhouse. Bones a foot long!! Dog loves them!
If I'm drunk I'll wind up the night listening to Van Morisson or watching some rare video of his concerts in the 70's. Van pushes all my musical buttons.
If not drunk I'll watch Desperate Housewives or Lost or Korean TV (not SBS!!) with my g/f and cuddle on the sofa until bedtime.
Not a bad life really. |
