I moved to my new place. I found out my phone barely works in my apartment. I can receive messages (sometimes), but reception sucks and I have to go outside to make a proper call.
Also, the kicker, the battery dies about 3-4 times faster inside my apartment. It keeps dying at night, so I slept in today.
It's strange. It's in a bit of a corner, surrounded by some fairly tall buildings, but it's 1st floor, so I am a bit surprised. Maybe its the buildings or the proximity to the army base.
I plan to buy a houseline soon, but in the meantime, if anyone knows why this is happening, or if there is an accessory I can buy to help me, I would appreciate it. I figure someone out there knows a thing or 2 about cell phones. |

I'm no expert on CDMA networks, but I'd expect they work like GSM ones and boost their power output when they're having trouble keeping in touch with a base station.
You could be in a coverage blackspot, or your local base station might just have failed - don't know if they'd be able to tell you, if you rang up.
I suggest you charge your phone at night |

One explanation: You're living in the midst of an anomaly in the time/space continuum
Seriously, some buildings suck for mobile reception. |

Complain to your mobile company about the reception in your area (go to the local store). We had this problem at our old place, and they said other people had complained and they were planning to put a kind of amplifier in the area. We moved out before they did, but it's worth a try anyway... |
