|
|
So I went on a visa run 2 days ago and was told I'd overstayed my visa by 6 days. Eh? I explained I thought I had 14 days to leave the country *and* the reason I'd waited was it took immigration that long to produce the blue paper. "You have wrong information," I was told. Do I? Have they changed the rules lately?
It wasn't a hassle and they didn't charge me but I honestly thought I was complying with the rules. (Particularly as my new employer phoned up immigration and was told everything was ok as the new visa application was in process.)
Anyway I was supposed to go and apply for an extension right after the old visa expired apparently. |

So does anyone know what that was all about?
It started when the check in counter clerk noticed I had a return ticket but my re-entry permit was expired. I tried saying I'd have a brand new visa when I returned but she wasn't having it. |
