|

One day this week I went to the consulate in Fukuoka early in the morning planning to get my visa in one day, but the officer told me I had to come back the next day at 11am. He said that the policy changed at the beginning of the month (March). If you go to Fukuoka to get a work visa, you'll have to stay overnight and probably won't be able to get your passport until 11am the next day. |

I've never gotten there before lunch, so this is not new to me, or anyone else.
Now, if this happens in Osaka, then that is new; I got my visa there in 50 minutes. |

Hmm... I was always told that Osaka was the only place that allowed such a 1-day visa run, anyway. |

I'm going to Osaka on Sunday to get my visa on Monday. Anybody else going to be there? I went two weeks ago but my paperwork was wrong.
I would have preferred going to Fukuouka (??) because the air tickets are cheaper, but this new two day visa issuance situation fouled up my plan. |

I'm going to make a visa run later this month, but my employer thinks he can send me over there on a Friday morning and I can pick it up Saturday. Can someone tell me if the consulate is presently open on Saturday? I don't think it is, but I need some confirmation. Thanks! |
Not open on a Saturday. |
