Maybe 'nerd' is too strong of a word. I enjoy a good night out drinking as much as anyone else, but occasionally it would be nice to have something more cerebral to do, meet people, etc. I am aware of quiz nights in itaewon, which I will start heading to, but in my experience they don't tend to be events where there's lots of mingling/sobriety. Thanks for any ideas!

Zyzyfer has nightly AD&D gatherings in Seoul these days. Shoot him a PM as he is one of the best Dungeon Masters I have had the pleasure of campaigning with. Last night we hit up a HUGE ass maze - map was so big we had to put it out on the balcony in the end.

Yikes, I said cerebral, not middle school. I was thinking more along the lines of book clubs or discussion groups or NGO volunteers, etc.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't anyone join that? I don't think you have to be American, do you?

I have no idea. I tried joining on the internet once as an individual, but the fee structure came up as "undefined" so i sent them an email and asked them if "undefined" meant zero fees or fees to be determined later.

They never responded, but i'll get more info on it later.
