So Ive had the internet at home for about two weeks. After being online for about ten or fifteen minutes, the connection breaks off. I click on the "Repair" button and this works about haf the time allowing me to be online for another 10 or 15 minutes. But sometimes, when i try to repair the connection, it says that it cannot renew the ISP address. If I open the Network Connections window, and open up the properties window, it usually starts working agin. Why does it do this?? Im pretty sure that my computer is configured correctly...
Just so ya know, my ISP uses a dynamic ISP address, I connect through a pc card with a direct LAN cable output. My connection speed is 50. My computer is old and crappy. Windows XP.

Well it's certainly not a long term solution but if you simply disable and then reenable the connection as opposed to repairing it, it should succeed a)more quickly and b)more often.
