A cell phone in Korea, that is.
The number for the "main switchboard" from http://usembassy.state.gov/seoul/wwwhecontact.html is 82-2-397-4114.
I had no luck with that number. Other numbers that did not work were 023974114, 23974114 and 3974114. I am in the 033 area code but would like to know how to call the Embassy from anywhere in Korea.

it should be 02-397-4114 by cellphone
The operators act stupid.
But, I have a secret....
If you want to speak to a English speaking operator, try dialing
02-7914-1110. Ask for Kwanghwamun in the number if the US Embassy.
This is the main number to the YongSan Army Telephone operator. and if this number doesn't work, try 0505-724-1110
They should point you in the right direction
