Some of you know I recently moved from Korea to the UAE (Abu Dhabi)

The expats here are much ...(I don't know) I want to use the term older, but that doesn't necessarily tie to physical age...though overall they are likely older that way too - on average. (boring comes to mind) Smile

They worry about football/rugby, investments, retirement, exchange rates and aren't interested in the day to day gripes of food, crazy happens, observations, etc.

Crying or Very sad I just guess I am trying to say...""I miss all of you..." Crying or Very sad

It sounds like you are saying people in Korea are immature and whine a lot.

Whats your plan there? How do you like your job? Have you gone out much? Can you do some first-hand comparisons and give us the gripes of food, crazy happenings, and observations on that part of the world!! I'd be curious.

Wow..deja-vu! We don't know each other as far as I know, but I was just thinking about you today for some bizarre reason (Seriously, I was!) I remember you posting before that you were moving on to the UAE, and I was wondering how you were making out there...glad you dropped by to give an update!

Expats talking about football, investments, .......retirement?? They sound just like the kind of people that most of us expats on this side of the world ran away from! I guess for every criticism one could lob at the expat (particularly 'English-teacher) community in Korea, they certainly couldn't describe it as boring!

While I don't talk about investments, I can't go for five minutes without talking about some football code. Does that mean I should leave Korea?
