|
|
I was planning to head to Hyewha this weekend to do some textbook shopping at Kim and Johnson. A friend tells me it's now a bakery.
Does anyone know if K&J is still open elsewhere? I hate to trust internet on this - don't want to waste a precious Saturday if internet info is outdated and store outlet is gone.
ALSO: Any other bookstores specializing in textbooks and resource materials that you would recommend?
Thanks!

Kim and Johnson still next to Kangnam station?
above some restaurants near exit 5.
"Kyobo" is up the road from exit 6 KANGNAM
and at Kwanghwamun.
"English Plus"
(between Chonggak stn and Kwanghwamun station)
"Youngpoong" in Chonggak (line 1) (exit 5)
COEX bookstore
Some big Korean bookstores have some too. |

Kangnam station, the green line.
exit 5
walk out, do not cross the street
go toward the right
you will see "Marche", and a bunch of other resturants.
takes about 60 seconds to get there.
Well, if you are there on Sunday you can always come to the 40's meeting.... |

to be painfully specific about the Kim & Johnson...
after going staright out of exit 5, it's the building right before TGI Friday's. the sign is in korean and it's on the 3rd floor above a restaurant. |

Just asking... does that store in particular (K and J) sell better resources?
Seems to me they all sell mostly the same stuff. |

There is also a Kim and Johnson in Incheon, near the Express bus terminal, right off the Arts center subway stop.
It is in the basement of the TGIF building.
For teacher resource and EFL\ESL methodology books, I have found the COEX bookstore stocks some good ones. (I recommend "Teaching English to Koreans" and "Teaching English to Children in Asia")
For games and activities stuff, I have found the Yongpoon bookstore in Jongak station has a big selection. |
