Found the following link below as I was cruising around the net. I don't know what to make of it as I don't know much about the internet publication in which it appeared.

I do know that last week I received a visit from a local police detective (or is that defective) that wanted to see if the foreigners that worked for me were legal or not. He said they were checking all the hogwans because of some "news report" about illegal teachers. He asked me if I knew of any foreigners who were teaching privates or any hogwans that were employing illegal teachers. He said they were going to start watching foreigners and hogwans a little closer for a while. I think he was just blowing a little smoke but who knows. Oh yeah, I live on Jeju.
