Thanks for that.
Never had much problem with my browser being slow, but that little hack didn't hurt. I found it especially helpful when opening up a group of tabs. BTW, though the hack is for Firefox, it worked like a charm on my Mozilla broswer.

| I found it did the same thing for me, too. It also speeds up the loading of this forum, which is why I posted the link. |

What does this post mean... seeing as it comes three hours after your computer locked you out? Have you managed to implement this and speed up your browsing? If so, what of your login issues tzechuck?
And you've really sold yourself short: why give your love for only a small tweak in return |

| Since I've done this, I've started getting the Blue Screen of Death after a few hours of surfing and have to reboot. |

| Just set max connections to 40 instead of 30. Seems a bit faster. |

Impressive. It really is snappy now with these changes.
I'm getting spoiled. At work I have to use clunky old IE.

| Personally I'd just use Opera. Firefox is a great browser, and I can't say too much against it, I just prefer Opera because it seems to render pages faster, and has all the doodads that Firefox does (tabs, mouse gestures, etc.). |

I sometimes use Opera, too. Its seems to work better than Firefox does when browsing Korean websites, which are all programmed for Explorer. |

Yeah, even with the config change, I still think Opera is the faster and better browser.
Not only that, but mouse gestures and tabs are handled a lot better in Opera, as well. I use both features and can't stand how Firefox implements them.
I also thought that some servers wouldn't allow you to make more than 10 connections at once with them. Or that you could even end up banned on some servers if you tried to force more than their limit of open connections. Of course, I might be mistaken about this. |

| I just like Firefox because it's got a familiar interface (reminds me of the first versions of Netscape that came out in the early 90s), and it's not Explorer. |

Turns out the blue screen problem was associated with the registry, not Firefox. By coincidence, it started at the same time. |

This is correct and even WindowsXP, by default, is limited to 10 connections. There is a tweak that will change this, however. I have not personally verified if the 10 connection thing is true, but heard it on another tech board. I applied the tweak anyways. As far as I know, I haven't been banned from any sites. |
