one of my friends went on a visa run yesterday and he said that on the way back from Osaka, he met the host of that anti-foreign TV program that said all that smack about ESL teachers.

"So what did you do or say to him?" I asked

Mentioning tact was the best approach, he told me he simply said "Do you know how many people you hurt~ you are a bad man!!"

But the guy just ignored him.
I don't, but if I were my friend, I would have given the guy the third degree to make him feel like *Sunrise*

I would tell him, "You really look like a Filipino -- you don't look Korean. Are you sure you're Korean?"

Guaranteed to piss him off.

I'd tell him about how the women here can't seem to leave me alone after that broadcast, because I've become the forbidden fruit.

Be polite, any sort of response other than that will just allow him to believe that all he had said was justified. Smile

Tell him that you've got explosive evidence which demonstrates that dokdo is really Japanese afterall ... then continue talking for the next hour or so about secret channels, conspiracies and shadow government ... all the time throwing him knowing glances while simultaneously rocking backwards and forwards in your chair ... that ought to do it Wink

Invite him to do a docu. about what foreign teachers have to deal with, and how we manage to live here despite all the difficulties...a real expose this time, with proper interviews with foreigners (Identities protected).
