Hi,
I have this software day dream. It uses voice recognition and text to speech. This stuff used to be quiant but its good now. The quality of the voices are very human. They could fool you for several minutes. They are flawed in the way so the voices sound like public radio news people.
You could feed a good voice into the voice recognition to help measure vocal output. The machine would measure the quality of the students speaking against an objective ideal.
The text to speech and the voice program can be programed so you can do any manner of tests. The software is worth learning about. The story of the company is really interesting. Its called Dragon Systems and its been around since before the PC. |

Yea its, Naturally Speaking.
You need two ideals, one for girls and boys. The arrangement is fair because its perfectly unfair. One male and female voice made by machine. I cannot think of any way how it is biased toward urban Korean kids so its pretty much perfect.
This has some of the talking voices. You need to test it a bit but I can script that would sound good for several minutes. It also sounds much better on loud speakers in a classroom. The dopiness is a benefit to the student and thats OK.
