hey all,
Has anyone heard of the middle / high school gang 'Il-jin' (spelling?)
I have had trouble with a boy in one of my classes. He is a first year High school student and has zero respect. It all came to a head today so I resorted to my 'no lunch-write lines' punishment.
My regular lunch date came to my room and he was shocked to see this boy sitting there, writing. After an exchange in Korean to boy was told to go.
Over lunch it came out that this boy was a high profile member of some nationwide schoolyard gang. They are known to have robbed, even killed.
The thing I found most unbelievable was the story of 'sex machine' where the 'jung' (top) boy would pick a girl and have sex with her infront of 300 other students at a party where they were drinking soju and smoking. We are talking about kids aged 14 or 15. They are apparently linked to gangsters and their popularity has grown through the internet.
I have no reason to doubt the teacher who told me these things.
Does anyone have anymore info? |

Sounds like you're living in a fantasy world.
So let me guess, you read this week's news articles regarding school yard gangs, decided your life was boring and meaningless so cococted this story to elicit some responses from (insert name) who typically believes everthing (he/she) reads on this board. |

| Actually, I have heard stories of gang rapes and revenge rapes from Korean women for years. |
