Yes, I know this can probably be unearthed with the search function, but I don't have hours of free time to hunt for it...
Can anyone tell me how to get to the Hannam (not sure if I'm spelling it right) market in Itaewon? The only area I really know there is the main strip where the hamilton hotel is. Is it in that vicinity, or is it somewhere else?
thanks! |

I haven't been there for well over a year, but as far as I can remember, get off the subway at Hangangjin Station, walk towards the corner and turn right. Cross the road using the footbridge and walk towwards the Volvo building. The entrance is on the left side of the Volvo building - walk downstairs and voila. |

Take subway line #6 to Hangangjin station, go out of exit #2, walk forward on the sidewalk as it makes a half-circle and you'll see a flyover pedestrian bridge. Cross the brigde, continue to walk forward until you see the Volvo building on your left. The market is down the stairs and you'll see the market's name on an awning above the stairs. |

What is in this market? Is it worth taking a 30-40 minute subway ride for? |

its full of western food items you cant find most anywhere else. Spices and herbs both fresh and dried. Deli meats, sauces, breads, hygene products and other items.
Worth a look at least once and then you can decide whether it is worth your while for a second trip. |

www.hannammarket.co.kr should provide you with a map..
For those of you who have been to both Hannam Market and Haddon House, which do you think is better?
I've been to Hannam Market once and never to Haddon House as it seems to be a bit of a hike. Is it worth having a look? |

I prefer Haddon house to Hannam market....but thats just because I get to look at actual BBq's as I enter. Just looking at propane and charcoal BBq's brings a tear to my eye I actually prefer the American military base commisary, the prices are much better, the selection great and they carry Salt and Vinegar chips. |
